When receiving District of Columbia SNAP benefits you are given a D.C. Hunger Solutions Card. Each month your EBT card is refilled through the Electronic Benefits Transfer system with the amount you were approved for when you applied for District of Columbia food stamps. It is important to know when your card gets refilled each month, so that you can better plan your food stamp purchases at stores that are authorized SNAP retailers. To find out when you will receive your next SNAP payment, look at the District of Columbia food stamp payment dates below.
Benefits are made available from the 1st to the 10th of every month, based on the first letter of the client's last name.
|First Letter Of Last Name||Benefits Available|
|A or B||1st of the month|
|C||2nd of the month|
|D/E or F||3rd of the month|
|G or H||4th of the month|
|I/J or K||5th of the month|
|L or M||6th of the month|
|N/O/P or Q||7th of the month|
|R or S||8th of the month|
|T/U or V||9th of the month|
|W/X/Y or Z||10th of the month|
If you believe you do not receive your District of Columbia EBT payment this month and it is past the payment date listed above, then you would need to contact the D.C. Department of Human Services, who head up the SNAP program. You can try the phone number on the back of your EBT card, or you can get the contact information on the District of Columbia EBT card balance page.
